Are We Truly Free? Discover the Path to Personal Liberation
Have you ever questioned what true freedom feels like? Imagine waking up one day to find your life completely transformed, free from the chains that once bound you. On June 26, 1833, the Slavery Abolition Act promised such freedom for countless individuals across the British Empire. Today, in the 21st century, we must ask ourselves: Are we truly free?
Join us as we explore the essence of freedom, from the monumental leap of abolishing slavery to the invisible chains of stress, anxiety, and societal expectations that bind us today. As Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, "In the truest sense, freedom cannot be bestowed; it must be achieved."
Discover practical steps to break free from these modern-day oppressors through self-awareness, resilience, and personal growth. Reflect on how far we've come and what true freedom means in our daily lives.

    It does make me sad that when you put time and effort into videos , recent sugar video for example, it doesn’t do well. Perhaps people are not ready to hear how important it is. I hope Shirley is continuing to improve, you’re doing a good job with UA-cam and it’s your information that counts. You get a lot across in a few minutes which is easier to take in than some people who talk for much longer. X

    Hard to tell if the "eyes" are at the same altitude at the rest of it. In fact, it's difficult to see from the camera perspective how high any of it is. If they are both under 5000' then I'd say this was pracice skywriting. It's airshow season, the weather has been poor, windy and with a lot of low cloud recently and display pilots need to practice. I went online to try and make an appointment to see a doctor. Answered an online questionnaire and referred to 111 who then referred me to my local pharmacy! He then referred me to my health centre where it had all started. They couldn't make me an appointment for a blood test there and then. It had to be done online! Came back home for privacy and went around in circles trying to sort it. Ended up ringing them and have an appointment in two weeks time. Also told to keep ringing back in case of any cancellations to have it done sooner. The pharmacist said that I needed it done quickly. You couldn't make this up. Take care of yourself and thinking of you.

Especially with all that you have going on right now. That said, I enjoy all of your videos and would miss you. I also find the same experience with GPs - only a few days ago I was passed from pharmacist to GP to 111 to GP and refused any help at all after having being so sick on medications. Blood thinners side effect??

  • @stevekirkby6570
    @stevekirkby6570 21 день тому

    I take asprin, a very baby dose to help as a slight blood thinner (this was post c-19 vaxx problems) - after about two weeks of continual use I would easily get small bruises on the back of my hands or arms... only a slight knock (easily forgotten or not even noticed) would result in a bruise. I found that if I came down to two days on and a day or two off then the situation stopped. I believe it is due to the 'half-life' of the medication... it builds up slowly in the body. So a day off seems to counter this with no other adverse effects. My consultant wanted me to take a prescription medication, but it upset my digestive system completely, so I told him I would stick with the baby asprin. No bad effects at all since I paused every couple of days. Prescription medicines often have some pretty strong side effects - so be aware and read the notes in the medicine pack... statins are another nightmare and after a 3 month course years ago, I could hardly walk! And the LDL- HDL debacle is complete garbage anyway... after much research I found out just how bad statins can be for you... even leading to early onset dementia - your brain *needs* cholesterol of both varieties. Shirley is probably knocking herself without realising... something that would never show in your youth can look pretty dreadful in your 70's. For example,my father used to look like a Jackson Pollock artwork due to the plethora of medications the doctor was chucking into him. When he eventually had to go into hospital for care they took one look at the huge bag of pills and stopped the lot :) It improved his health for several years, and he was reduced to just one pill for his thyroid, rather than having to take a cocktail of about 12 medications! Beware and be aware. All the best to you Gary and Shirley.

    I worked as a PWP in the IAPT NHS service,guided self help underpinned by CBT. You would be well suited to this role Gary and would be very good at it,anyways all the best.

    • @ThrivewithGary
      @ThrivewithGary 28 днів тому

      Just been looking this up and sounds interesting: A PWP, or Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, is a key role within the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service in the NHS. PWPs are trained to deliver low-intensity psychological interventions, primarily based on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), to individuals experiencing common mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and stress. Role and Responsibilities of a PWP: Assessment and Triage: PWPs conduct initial assessments to determine the severity of a patient's condition and to decide the most appropriate course of action. Low-Intensity Interventions: They provide evidence-based, low-intensity interventions, including guided self-help, psychoeducational workshops, and computerized CBT. Monitoring Progress: PWPs regularly monitor patients' progress, adjusting interventions as necessary, and ensuring that treatment remains effective. Support and Guidance: They offer support and guidance to help patients understand and manage their mental health conditions, often involving structured, step-by-step plans. Referral to High-Intensity Therapies: If patients need more intensive therapy, PWPs can refer them to high-intensity therapists or other mental health services. Group Work: They may also facilitate group sessions aimed at teaching coping strategies and providing peer support. Training and Qualifications: To become a PWP, individuals typically need a relevant degree or equivalent experience and must complete an IAPT-accredited training program. This program includes both theoretical learning and practical experience, supervised by experienced clinicians. Impact on Mental Health Care: PWPs play a crucial role in making mental health care more accessible and efficient. By providing early and effective intervention, they help reduce the burden on high-intensity services and support patients in managing their conditions before they escalate. The introduction of PWPs has significantly improved access to mental health services within the NHS, allowing for timely, appropriate care for many individuals who might otherwise struggle to find the support they need.

    Hi Gary! First time watching one of your videos so I have no context other than what you've shared here today. To say I am appalled to hear of your experience in recent months is an understatement! Mind you, I know of several folk who have fought similar battles, being denied help they are clearly entitled to, even with documentary proof to back up everything they say. I have no idea where you live or what other avenues you may have explored, but if you've not already done so, then a call to Age UK might be good. I think I'm correct in saying they have a national helpline, and you should find details on their website. Either that or the branch nearest to you. Worth a try as they should be able to give you guidance. I'll see what other info I can dig up for you too. In the meantime take care and know you are not alone. Kindest regards 🦋🕊🤗

    So sorry to hear your problems. I think the situation is a 'cookie cutter' issue, in so much as you state you are 'company directors'... so you registered a limited company? If this is so, that's a big mistake.... if you are just working as a sole trader (as I would advise) then you are not 'company directors' and you are not paying yourselves 'dividends'. Of course, this could all just be DWP speak for 'bollocks'. I personally would suggest that you cease trading (at least officially) and if you have a registered company, to dissolve it. Currently you are better off in the system if you appear to have no sources of income - meanwhile the DWP seem to think you have an income stream, because no one runs a business or company that is not profitable. So, either you make the company/trading profitable, or you give up the notion of being registered as self employed - and just take the available benefits. Now, I know that might not sit easy with you - but as their actions have shown, you are mere cogs in a much larger machine... and perhaps you should just become scews... because you are screwed. So hope this helps - not trying to be clever or anything, but trying to help. Get back to me . Big Hugs.

    Hi Gary, I've only recently started to watch your vlogs. I'm absolutely appalled with the treatment that you both have received. My daughter is autistic and is having problems with a certain payment being reduced even though nothing has changed. It seems to ro be one rule for people like us and another for the ones that arrive on a beach 😡 😊 Hopefully your circumstances will improve soon. Take care and thinking of you both ❤

    Sorry you’re going through this Gary. I’m guessing you will have been to citizens advice to see if they can help you with some advice. Other than that I’m unable to offer anything other than a listening ear and sending love. It’s very broken, the whole system 🫣

    The system is designed to fail those who genuinely need help. I've been there myself! The sickening thing is people who don't want to work somehow seem to be left in peace with no financial stress. Shirley should be eligible for Attendance allowance or PIP although you need to jump through hoops to get it. Neither which are means tested but it depends on Shirley's age as to which one she can claim. I'd look into it. Take care and don't let them grind you down. We've all got to stand together in this mad world.

    HMRC have a long track record of feeding DWP incorrect data, causing wrong decisions. Request a copy of all data currently held by them on yous all? CAB might help you with claim for maladministration. Hth 🤗

    The DWP has itself calculated and admitted that it's caused the deaths of 10s of thousands. I'm not a fan of the UN/ECHR but even they have determined the UK govt (DWP) are inhumane in their welfare admin
